In remembrance of one of the ILLEST producers who has touched my love for music and taken it to the next level we will DILLA OUT every day in February stay tuned!
The first Dilla production I heard and KNEW it was Dilla was "Get Dis Money" by Slum Village from the movie Office Space soundtrack later added to their album Fantastic, Vol. 2.. I immediately fell in love with both Dilla & Slum...
“In the current state of music, an artist like Jay (Electronica) deserves the attention of anyone who even THINKS they like Hip-Hop. We’re not saying that he’s the savior but he’s been working on the humble for years and Exhibit C opened him up to the world. World, meet Jay Electronica…support his victory for Hip-Hop.” – DJ DUB
“I truly believe that everyman has a story and Jay Electronica’s story is definitely the current soundtrack to Hip-Hop. He makes the impossible seem possible. Dub and I wanted to share his soundtrack with those that were unfamiliar. Let’s welcome back the lyricists to Hip- Hop.” – DJ FURIOUS STYLES
Growing up MC Lyte was my first and only idol, i developed my "laid back swag" from this lady. I was already a tomboy even though i kept myself fresh and looking like a lady with my jeans saggin complimented with my fly kicks...I would like to think of myself as SILENT BUT DEADLY with a great sense of humor lol anywho...when i seen this video right here i was in aww! I went out and bought the single - wrote all the lyrics down - and recited it over and over again. Im not saying that she made me who i am just that i saw myself in her through her music. I did talent shows doing this joint lol and even TRIED to become an emcee but im a lyrical cluts so i stuck to dancing and supporting hip hop...true hip hop...(to be continued)

Don’t work to hard to give yourself the best of everything, instead make a greater effort to give GOD the best of yourself…add a star if you believe *******
Stop it with the damn chain texts already folks!!! I don't think adding a star will give me any pendants in heaven, and if I HAVE to send some friend shit back to you to prove I am sincere in our friendship then just go head and delete me - make an appointment with a shrink - build a bridge and GET OVER IT! We can end this nuisance if we delete one fwd at a time...break the chain already damn...that will be all.
